For the software Envoix I built Eddi, short for Envoix Digital Document Inspector. An interactive mascot made with Rive. Eddi is already live on the platform and reacts to whatever users get up to. He confirms entries, cheers on uploads and speaks up when something goes wrong. He catches error pages like 404 and 505 and gives a friendly nudge when there is still something left to fill in. In short, he keeps an eye on things. And that is only the beginning of what he can do. Next we are turning Eddi into a chatbot with AI, so he can talk to users even more directly. There is plenty more coming. The thing that gets me every time is the speed. Everything you see here took six days of work. It still amazes me how fast you can get to a real, working result with Rive, one that looks good and runs cleanly at the same time. I am genuinely curious to see where Eddi goes next.
