Cover image for built a WhatsApp and Telegram
built a WhatsApp and Telegram automation system using n8n and AI to manage customer conversations and bookings from start to finish. The workflow handles FAQs and customer enquiries automatically. When a customer wants to book an appointment, it asks for the service they’re interested in, preferred date, and time, saves the booking details to Google Sheets, and sends a confirmation message back to the customer. If a customer asks to speak with the team, the workflow routes the conversation to the appropriate team member on Telegram. The team member can then manually communicate with the customer, with messages flowing from WhatsApp to Telegram and from Telegram back to WhatsApp. Built with: WhatsApp (https://WhatsApp.com) Business API, Telegram (https://Telegram.org) Bot API, n8n (https://n8n.com), OpenAI (https://OpenAI.com), Google Sheets, APIs, and Webhooks. The goal was to automate the repetitive parts of customer communication and appointment booking while keeping a smooth WhatsApp ↔ Telegram human handoff when a real team member is needed.
