MedalsNBongs.com (http://MedalsNBongs.com) is a platform dedicated to promoting and honoring U.S. Army heroes. The system collects public data from Wikipedia and creates detailed hero profiles, including biography, war participation, medals, and automatically calculated points based on medal value.
The platform is built with Next.js, running on a secure Linux VPS with domain hosting and HTTPS. API keys are safely stored on the server. The tech stack includes Next.js (frontend & backend API routes), database integration, authentication system, and role-based access control.
Users can sign up, sign in, and sign out securely. Admin and user pages are separated with managed privileges. Admins can add or remove medals and update hero descriptions.
