Yawa 2.0: weather you can see 🌤️ Yawa is my weather app, and its sky isn’t a background picture. It’s a live Rive scene driven by your forecast. The sun sits where it really is and the light changes through the day. Clouds, rain, snow, fog and thunderstorms show up when they’re actually coming, and at night the stars come out. How it’s built The whole weather scene runs on Rive data binding. Sun position, time of day, clouds, precipitation, thunder and the camera are view model values the app sets from live weather. Because the scene is pure data, the Rive CLI can render it headless, frame by frame. That’s how every visual for the launch was made: the store art, the App Store header and the trailer, all from the same file that ships in the app. Nothing was mocked up. @Rive features: Data binding and view models · State machines · Rive CLI · GPU Canvas 📱 Download Yawa: https://yetanotherweather.app (https://yetanotherweather.app)🎬 Watch it on YT: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PLJXYBb9dNo

You are trapped in a room with the Book of Shadows. Solve its five shadow puzzles before midnight, or the shadow comes to trap your soul in the book. Solve them all and you are free. 🕯️ Play it in your browser (best in landscape, with headphones or sound on): Book of Shadow (https://book-of-shadows-5alywo.rive.to)You can also check out the File from the Rive Marketplace: Marketplace Community File (https://rive.app/community/files/28980-54907-book-of-shadows-a-candlelit-pop-up-horror-game) How it plays Strike the match, open the cover, and carry one candle across five pop-up paper figures: the Witness, the Oath, the Confession, the Sacrifice and the Coronation. Each figure's shadow moves with real light, and near the right angle it turns into the monster it hides. Hold the light there to break the vow. Every page is written in a cipher drawn for the book, and its key is hidden in the pages. Hold the flame at the edge of your sight to look around the room, but don't touch the door. At midnight it opens. How it was made Built with the Rive CLI and GPU Canvas. AI coding agents wrote the RML (the scene, the pages, the state machine and the data binding), the Luau scripts (the game, the paper folds and the ending) and the WGSL shaders (shadows that morph into their monsters, a ray-marched fog, candle flames and light through the paper), all from my direction and playtests. After every change, automated checks replay the game with synthetic input, and I check the 3D work in the game's own debug console that I created for me and the agent as verification. Every illustration is a classic 2D Rive vector drawing and animation. When something is off, I fixed it by hand in the Rive Editor. @Rive features: Rive CLI · GPU Canvas · Luau scripting · Data binding and state machines

Reggie 🐸 — the weather frog living in my app Yawa I've been using Rive for years to animate the weather conditions in my app, Yawa — expressive, interactive scenes driven purely by live weather data. But something was always missing: a bit more interactivity, a bit more expression. That's why I created Reggie for the character challenge. Reggie is a little frog living in his mushroom house, reacting to the weather and the time of day. He sleeps in his bed at night, enjoys the weather on his terrace in the morning, heads down to the lake to fish, and curls back into his chair for a snack. When it rains, he puts on his raincoat. And he doesn't only react to the weather — he reacts to you: scroll and the camera zooms out to reveal his whole little world (his mushroom house, the pond, the hills around it), with a speed input that changes how fast the animations play while you scrub through the timeline. How it's built: everything is rigged in Rive — multiple state machines, responsive layouts, Lua scripts, and over 50 nested artboards with nested ViewModels, all reading live weather and time of day straight from the app or the users input. Every weather condition has its own unique animation. 🔗 Rive file: https://editor.rive.app/file/yawa/2375740?linkId=mH7R_laspkW0jTuKh6UlIQ 📱 Soon Live in Yawa: https://yetanotherweather.app
