Twice a week, I usually call my barbershop and hope they have an opening. If they’re busy cutting hair, I might not get an answer. Then comes the back-and-forth: what time works, which barber is available, what kind of cut I want, and whether they can fit me in. So for the @Lovable #lovablechallenge, I decided to rebuild that entire experience. Meet Twins Barbershop, a real barbershop in Arlington, Virginia. I built a visual, mobile-first booking experience that takes someone from “Can I get a haircut?” to “You’re booked.” without needing to call the shop or send a DM. Customers can choose a day, see available times, select their barber, browse different haircut styles like a taper fade, and confirm their appointment in just a few steps. Once they’re booked, they get a personalized confirmation with their barber, haircut, date, time, and location. They can add the appointment to their calendar, open the shop directly in Google Maps, or manage and reschedule their appointment themselves. On the other side, the shop gets one dashboard to manage appointments, barber schedules, availability, services, and booking rules. Confirmation and reminder workflows are also built into the backend, reducing the amount of manual follow-up the shop has to manage. The goal wasn’t to build another booking calendar. It was to remove the conversation that shouldn’t need to happen in the first place. Explore the public project: https://twins-barbershop.lovable.app/ Built with @Lovable. #lovablechallenge
