What if getting a tattoo felt more like collaborating on a design project than sending messages back and forth on WhatsApp?
That's exactly what I built.
For the @Base44 Glow Up Challenge, I chose a real tattoo studio in Toronto that creates incredible artwork—but whose digital experience didn't match the quality of their craft.
So I rebuilt everything.

I like to describe it as "Figma for tattoo studios."
Instead of scattered conversations across multiple apps, every design, revision, approval, and booking happens in one workspace.

...Connection Studio is a real dance and yoga studio in the centre of Lisbon. A place full of movement with a website that didn't move at all 😢 . Dated template, booking through a plain third-party widget, half the pages never finished.
I decided to give it a glow, bit do not start from 0. Everything real stayed: their classes, their prices, their photography, their words. I rebuilt the experience around what they already have.
The videos are the one placeholder: AI-generated for now, ready to be swapped for footage from real classes the moment the studio steps in.
**The design
An editorial system built on the studio's own photos. Video hero. Seven class disciplines as full-screen stacking cards. Fluid type, a custom inverting cursor, page transitions, a preloader that opens the site like a curtain. Even the emails match.
** The product and automations
/ Full booking system — accounts, weekly schedule, live class capacity
/ Passes with real credit logic: book a class, a credit ticks off. Cancel, it comes back
/ An assistant instead of a FAQ page — it knows the schedule, the prices, and your own bookings
/ Fully responsive, down to the chat input riding above the phone keyboard

The demo runs on placeholder contact data out of respect for the studio's privacy. Every flow is real and testable.
I finally have the opportunity to help my mum grow her business.
For years, I watched her work tirelessly, relying mostly on word of mouth and doing everything herself. I always wanted to build something that could make her life a little easier, but I never found the right opportunity.
Now I have no excuses.
I'm taking on the #GiveItAGlow challenge by Base44 to build a website with automations that create real value for her business.
This is more than a portfolio project. It's my chance to give back to someone who has always supported me.
Challenge accepted. I'll give it my best.
We are so excited for the Base44 Give it a Glow Challenge, so I decided to join! 😄 I built 🚲 VELO·WORKS, a modern digital experience for a local bike repair shop, with online booking, automations, a workshop dashboard, and an AI assistant to help both customers and mechanics.
Before: the shop relied only on WhatsApp for bookings.
After: VELO·WORKS offers online booking, an AI assistant, automated reminders, and a workshop dashboard.
I'm still polishing a few details, but you can already try it out:
