Halloween question for the freelancers here π What's the scariest sentence a client has ever sent you? I'll go first: "we'll send the content next week." Drop yours below, best one gets a follow from me π»
A little reminder that freelancers are humans, too. β€οΈ
This freelancer is moving apartments next week, and not all stress comes from work.
After a year of amazing clients, projects, and even winning Contra hackathons that helped make this new chapter possible, it feels like a lot is changing at once. I'm scared, but happy.
And right after the move, Iβm off to Europe to visit Christmas markets, something Iβve dreamed about for years. π
So I probably wonβt be as available as usual for a little while, and Iβm learning to be okay with that.
Sometimes growth looks like new projects. Sometimes it looks like a new home, a long-awaited trip, and making room for life outside your laptop.
What if Altoids dropped a limited Halloween edition?
For this week's challenge, I gave one of the most iconic tins on the shelf a fall and spooky makeover with two seasonal flavors: π Pumpkin Spice and π¦ Black Peppermint.
π» What stayed recognizable:
The classic rectangular metal tin, the off-white parchment label, the stepped Victorian frame, and the bold serif wordmark with "The Original Celebrated" and "Curiously Strong Mints" locked in their exact spots.
πͺ¦ What I twisted:
Swapped the classic red and green tins for burnt pumpkin orange and midnight matte black, traded the vintage apothecary crest for autumn foliage on one and gnarled trees with flying bats on the other, and lit the whole shot by lantern light.
This is brilliant Agustin! π Love how you kept the classic Altoids tin recognizable but made it so seasonal. Pumpkin Spice + Black Peppermint is such a bold combo - the orange tin with that tiny pumpkin illustration is chef's kiss π Would totally grab this off the shelf!
