What Your Website Should Do (And What It Shouldn't)
Your website is not a digital brochure. It's a worker. If it's not bringing you calls, it's not doing its job.
Here's what a good website SHOULD do:
✅ Show up fast on mobile. Most of your customers will find you on their phone.
✅ Make your phone number easy to see and tap. Don't hide it.
✅ Tell people exactly what you do, in the first few seconds.
✅ Have one clear next step. "Call Now" or "Get a Free Quote," not five different buttons pulling in five directions.
✅ Build trust fast. Real photos, real reviews, real service area.
✅ Load quickly. If it's slow, people leave before they even see what you offer.
Here's what it SHOULDN'T do:
❌ Make people scroll through a wall of menu items before seeing anything useful.
❌ Look the same on every device. What works on desktop can break completely on mobile.
❌ Bury your contact info. If someone has to hunt for your number, you've already lost them.
❌ Use fancy words instead of clear ones. Customers want to know what problem you solve, not read a poem.
❌ Sit there looking pretty with no plan to turn visitors into customers.
Most business owners think their website is fine because it "looks nice." But looking nice and working hard are two different things.
A website that looks good but doesn't convert is just an expensive photo album.
If your site isn't bringing you calls, it's not your business that's the problem. It's the website.
Do you have a website or an expensive photo album??
