The series

In a rain-soaked Neo-Tokyo where neural implants shape everyday life, Miko is an eleven-year-old girl no surveillance system can identify. She is carrying a warning from a future the city has not yet reached—and a dangerous power she cannot fully control.

ECO follows Miko as she tries to prevent a catastrophe without becoming the very thing she was sent to stop.

Episode 1: “Signal”

Officer Ren pursues Miko through the city after its systems fail to recognize her. When two mysterious men corner her in an alley, a living shadow of ink, static, and fractured code emerges to protect her. Ren arrives to find the men gone and Miko alone. His pursuit turns into a question: who is she, and what is she trying to warn them about?

Where the series goes next

Ren investigates Miko and discovers that she has no record in any identification system. Meanwhile, SYNAPSE, the corporation behind the city’s dominant AI, sends more agents to find her. Ren gradually becomes a reluctant ally as fragments of Miko’s future come to light. Each time she uses the shadow to survive, she risks bringing that future closer.
