Peoplecite.tech finds you the people you need for your business needs.
The problem
Recruiters, investors, event organizers and journalists all have to find specific people. Their tools haven't kept up. People databases go stale, keyword search returns hundreds of weak matches, and the manual route takes hours of searching, opening tabs and cross-checking. When a tool does produce a list, it rarely explains why a name made the cut, so you can't trust it without checking every entry again.
The idea
Describe the people you need the way you'd brief a colleague. PeopleCite researches the live web and returns a slate: a ranked list where every name comes with receipts.
"Staff payments engineers with Series B–C experience" → a ranked shortlist with evidence, not 400 keyword hits
"Technical founders building in industrial automation" → people who aren't on anyone's list yet
"Climate scientists who can hold a stage" → speakers with their press footprint attached
How it works for the user
Ask in plain language. There are no boolean strings or filters. You give the role, field, constraints and dealbreakers.
Watch the research happen. Several researchers work through the brief in parallel. The user sees each step live: what's being searched, what's being read, and who's being considered. A typical run takes 5–20 minutes, and closing the tab doesn't stop it.
Review a slate with receipts. Each person arrives with:
a fit score against your criteria
a written rationale
a verification status (verified, likely or flagged)
links to every source used
One click exports the slate to Excel or CSV.
Beyond a single search
Monitors: saved searches re-run on a schedule, and a digest email lists only the new people.
CSV enrichment: upload your own list and get back verified evidence for each person.
Outreach drafts: a first message for any candidate, written from the research.
Exclusion lists: people you've already seen or contacted stay out of future results.
Team workspaces: shared seats and shared runs for agencies and teams.
API + MCP: PeopleCite works inside other tools and AI assistants, such as Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor.
Design decisions that mattered
Trust over volume. The product is built around receipts. If something can't be verified, such as a person's location, it is flagged rather than guessed. Results are presented as research leads, not hiring decisions, and the user always reviews and decides.
Long-running work that feels instant. A deep research run can take many minutes. The interface streams progress as it happens, so the wait feels like watching work get done. Runs continue on their own if the user leaves.
Pricing that matches value. Users pay per candidate researched, not per seat. Credits scale with research depth (Fast, Smart, Deep), so a 10-person search has a predictable cost. There are three tiers ($49 / $149 / $399 a month) and a 14-day free trial.
Responsible by default. The product has no demographic targeting of any kind. Users can export or delete their data at any time, and every claim traces back to a source. It ships with a privacy policy and a DPA.
Outcome
PeopleCite went from first commit to a public, paid product on its own domain in about three months. At launch it had subscription billing, a free trial, team seats, scheduled monitors, an API and an MCP server. The landing page uses no stock imagery. Its hero section replays a real research run.
