Motor City Psalms is a personal interactive design project inspired by my father, Detroit car culture, and the 1958 Chevrolet Impala. I wanted to create something that felt like more than a tribute, so I built the project around memory, movement, craftsmanship, and the visual language of Detroit automotive culture.
I developed the creative direction, visual identity, editorial layout, typography, color palette, and interactive web experience. The centerpiece is a custom “Hold to Raise” interaction that lets the Impala lift on hydraulics directly on the page. The goal was to honor the history behind the story while still making the experience feel modern, cinematic, and intentional.
