Using AI builders for creating good and high-ranking websites is challenging, because the AI guesses too much. And if the website is for a local business, then AI guesses produce AI slop, which results in poor user experience and, most importantly, bad SEO performance, which hurts the business even more in the long run. Since I'm in the Lovable Challenge, I want to share my strategy to overcome these challenges and discrepancies.
It's actually very simple: you create a full, strategic guideline for Lovable so that it doesn't have to guess what things to do and what things to avoid. Instead, you give it the idea.
You can use Claude or any research model for extensive SEO and market research around that business, and create: • A complete sitemap of their website • The SEO checklists that have to be done To make sure the design doesn't seem like every other purple and Inter-fonted AI slop, you have to pick or design a specific design system for Lovable. You can do it by designing it yourself, or you can do what I did: go over to the Figma community and select a template you like.
I just took screenshots of different sections of the homepage, fed them to Lovable, and asked it to take inspiration from those designs to create the elements and structure of the overall website. Boom. It produced a masterpiece that I'm going to share with you in my next update!
