This entire film was made with AI. The idea wasn’t.
One butterfly travels through generations of human creativity—from the first drawings and melodies to film, digital tools and artificial intelligence.
The visuals, voices, instruments and the entire original song were generated with AI.
But the concept, narrative, lyrics, creative direction, visual identity, pacing, selection and final decisions were human-led.
I deliberately kept a few clearly AI-generated moments in the film. Not as mistakes to hide, but as part of the message:
AI is not perfect.
Neither are humans.
Creativity does not come from perfection. It comes from curiosity, intention and the courage to create.
AI can generate endless possibilities.
A human still decides what deserves meaning.
AI is the tool.
We are the soul.

Thrilled to see my latest R&D project, "Unfurl," featured in Stash Magazine!
This piece is an exploration into the commercial potential of generative AI, asking: Can we bridge the gap between AI’s unpredictable nature and the precision required for production?
The entire project lives at the intersection of human art direction and machine learning. To maintain deliberate control over the interplay of flowers and fabrics, I used Cinema 4D as the base structure for the generative layers (ComfyUI, Krea, Kohya).
Huge thanks to Tom Parry for building such an incredible, tactile "unfurling" soundscape that perfectly mirrors the visuals.

Congrats on the Stash feature! That tension between AI's unpredictability and production-ready precision is exactly the problem I think about with client work too. Curious what your actual pipeline looked like, pure generative output or a lot of manual cleanup after?
What if you could go from brand assets to a full ad set in under 5 minutes?
I tested Canva Grow 2.0 from a client's perspective, using the brand identity and website we built for Dulce Oro, a premium agave spirits brand, as the foundation.
The idea was simple: could a client take their existing brand assets and spin up social ad creative without starting from scratch every time?
The output was honestly impressive. On-brand visuals, solid layouts, a full ad set in minutes. For a freelancer, this is the kind of tool that could genuinely expand what you offer clients without adding hours to your workflow.
But here's where I think it still needs work:
The website link sharing didn't pull any context for the AI. PDFs can't be uploaded, so I had to work with images instead. Also, it would have been just the perfect system within canva if they could upload custom fonts, so that brand-specific typography won't get lost in translation.
For clients with strong brand identities, these gaps can be filled to make Canva Grow the ultimate choice. Because the creative is only as good as the brand inputs it's working with.
