The goal of VerticalWB was to provide pilots with a fast and reliable way to calculate aircraft weight and balance directly from their phones.
I implemented the mobile version by integrating the existing web functionality into a native iOS application environment and configuring Firebase for push notifications and backend connectivity. The app allows pilots to manage aircraft profiles, calculate load distributions, and quickly access weight and balance calculations for different helicopter models.
Key improvements included optimizing the mobile UI for quick data entry, supporting custom aircraft profiles, and ensuring calculations remain accurate and responsive in real time. The result is a lightweight mobile tool that helps pilots perform critical pre-flight calculations more efficiently.
