Meta AI Can Now Read Your Ad Account
Meta rolled out an MCP permissions panel for ad accounts this year, and it shipped with all seven write actions switched on by default.
In plain terms: Meta AI now has access to read and act inside advertiser ad accounts, unless someone goes in and manually restricts it.
This isn't a warning to panic; it's a reminder that platform automation is moving faster than most account owners are checking their own settings.
Convenience defaults tend to favor the platform's automation goals, not necessarily your account's precision.
If you haven't looked at your account permissions this quarter, that's a five-minute check worth doing.
