Made this "Delete account" interaction in
Rive š
When a user holds the button to delete their account, the value they've received from the app burns in real time. Money saved, orders completed, deliveries made.
Release before 5 seconds and everything reverses. Fully reversible.

The animation is built in Rive, which has an open-source runtime. The output file is lightweight and values can be data-bound. Devs can pass real user stats and the card updates. When the user completes the hold, the account deletes.

ā¢ šš¶šæš²š°š š š®š»š¶š½šš¹š®šš¶š¼š» (š¦šµš»š²š¶š±š²šæšŗš®š», ššµš“šÆ): Instead of pressing a button that triggers an invisible system action, users interact directly with an on-screen representation of their account. As they hold, they watch the value delivered by the product disappear in real time. The interaction is continuous, visible, and reversible until completion.
ā¢ šš¼šš ššš²šæšš¶š¼š» (šš®šµš»š²šŗš®š» & š§šš²šæššøš, ššµš³šµ): Showing tangible value that's about to disappear makes the consequence of an irreversible action more concrete. The interaction draws on loss aversion while remaining transparent about the value the user is giving up.

The card only summarizes value already delivered: "ā¹12,430 saved." Real money, real orders, real value. It avoids artificial streaks, emotional copy, or manufactured scarcity designed to discourage account deletion.
Release at any point and the animation reverses instantly. Very straightforward. Just honest feedback about what's at stake.
This is a step among a multi-step delete flow.
Just an exploration of how direct manipulation can be used for irreversible actions. š
