I’ve been using Contra for about 4–5 months. At first I wasn’t sure whether I needed the Pro plan, but in the end I decided to go for it right away.
What benefits do I see so far? Contra has already brought me a couple of clients. Even though the work is on an hourly basis, it’s still a great result.
Compared to platforms like Upwork, where you constantly have to compete and fight for projects, here the process feels much easier and more natural.
Another big advantage is working between Europe and the US — the platform makes this collaboration much smoother.
Overall, I’m really happy to be on this platform.

And one thing became very clear: freelancing is hard.

Payment Lifecycle Integration Backend
This project focuses on a backend problem I care about a lot:
how to keep an internal payment workflow correct when the external provider is asynchronous and outside your control.
The system models:
· explicit payment state transitions
· idempotent create requests
· webhook-driven updates
· audit logs
· reconciliation for recovery
