I wanted to introduce something I've been building outside of my commercial and film work.
Story Ave Studios is a nonprofit creative studio built around a pretty simple idea: young people should have the chance to discover what they're good at by actually making things.
We build hands-on labs around filmmaking, photography, design, writing, technology, AI, entrepreneurship and other creative disciplines—giving students the opportunity to work alongside people who actually do this stuff for a living.
We're growing the network now, and one of the things I'm especially interested in is meeting filmmakers, designers, photographers, writers, editors, developers, technologists and other working creatives around the country who might want to get involved in some capacity.
That could eventually mean leading a lab, mentoring a group of students, sharing your work and career path, or simply having a conversation with us about something you'd like to teach.
We're still building, experimenting and meeting people, so there's no hard pitch here. If the idea resonates with you, I'd love to connect.
