AI can get you from an idea to a working app surprisingly fast.
But “it works” and “it’s ready to ship” are two very different things.
Before taking an AI-built app to production, I usually look at the things that don’t show up in the demo:
→ Authentication & permissions → Database structure → API security → Payments & subscriptions → Mobile responsiveness → Error handling → Performance → App Store / Play Store requirements
Tools like Lovable and Base44 are great for getting the first version moving. The interesting engineering starts when that prototype needs to become a product real users can rely on.
