I do not start development with screens. I start with acceptance criteria.
Before opening the editor, I want written answers to a few questions:
• Who uses the system? • What starts the workflow? • What counts as a successful result? • Which exceptions need human review? • What is explicitly outside the first release?
This makes design faster because every screen has a job. It also makes testing objective: we can compare the working system with the agreed criteria instead of debating whether it “feels finished.”
Written scope is not bureaucracy. It is how I keep premium projects moving quickly.
