Day 8 of 60-days-collecting-awesome-motion-design-references

I am gathering cool references for my own work as a Motion Designer, and thought it would be nice to share with the Community as I do so.

This one has been circulating on my socials for a few weeks now, and from the first moment I saw it, I saved it. Created by the team at Wix Motion Studio. It has a nice mix of subtle motion and great design, combined with aesthetically pleasing AI-generated footage. I love the use of match cuts to keep the flow in the transitions, without overthinking them too much. Would you keep this one in your collection?

Collecting one motion reference a day is a habit that pays off fast.

Day 7 of 60-days-collecting-awesome-motion-design-references

I am gathering cool references for my own work as a Motion Designer.

It is hard to create videos solely based on text without falling into the monotonous and boring text animations we are all used to. So it takes something extra to make these types of videos as engaging as possible, and I think this example got it right!

I found it on LinkedIn, but I am not really sure what company created it, I just know that the ASCII look of the visuals and the use of gradients make it feel very techy and modern, and the soundtrack drives the motion very organically throughout. Definitely a keeper.

Quick follow-up to yesterday’s post with a few refined details.

Tweaked the centerpiece and offset the rotational timing so each cube spins with its own momentum rather than in rigid sync. It gives the whole piece a much more tactile, kinetic feel.
