Most of my client relationships run 100% async—no calls, no meetings.
It sounds counterintuitive for creative work like Pinterest strategy, but it actually works better: clients send me context once, I turn it into a plan, and updates happen on their time, not mine.
The trade-off is I have to over-communicate in writing. Every update includes what's done, what's blocked, and what I need from them—no guessing required on either end.
If you've ever wished a freelancer just... handled it without needing a weekly call, that's the kind of collaborator I try to be.
