JAMES — Local Python AI Assistant
JAMES is an independent software development project focused on building a modular, locally operated AI assistant using Python.
The project explores how local language models, software tools, and persistent conversation storage can work together within a structured assistant architecture.
Key Technical Components:
Python Agent: Conversation management and tool orchestration.
Local AI Integration: Ollama backend integration for local language model requests.
Backend Development: CLI and FastAPI-based application entry points.
Data Persistence: SQLite-based conversation sessions and message history.
Modular Tools: A structured tool registry with reviewed tool implementations.
My Role:
Project planning, technical architecture, development coordination, implementation review, debugging, and software testing.
Technologies:
Python, FastAPI, SQLite, Ollama.
Project Status: In Development
The architecture shown is based on source-code inspection. Full runtime functionality and production readiness have not yet been verified.
