Just finished an interesting project.
A client sent me a business brochure that had been generated with AI. The information was there, but the formatting was all over the place with misaligned elements, inconsistent spacing, awkward layouts, and a presentation that didn't feel professional.
I spent some time cleaning it up, restructuring the document, and making sure everything looked polished and easy to read.
It's funny how AI can generate an entire brochure in seconds, but sometimes you end up spending more time fixing the output than creating it from scratch.
Happy client, good feedback, and another reminder that presentation matters just as much as content.

Past "obviously broken," the professional graders split. Some killed outputs over the typography. Others forgave the type because the composition was worth keeping. Same image, different verdicts, both senior.
The tools flipped depending on the phase too. Strong at ideation, useless at refinement. Ask for one explicit change and three other things move.
My take from the episode: working with AI is design negotiating. You won't one-shot it. Some days I can't ten-shot it. It nails the majority, you decide what you can live with, and the real skill is knowing when to stop.
The pattern held across video, brand, ad, product, and web designers. Nothing one-shots yet. Which is exactly why the designer in the driver's seat still decides what ships.

I created this REAL WORLD AI ad in "just 2 months" and the process might be a little different than you think. We’re living in a time where everyone posts things like “we made this 20-minute film in 4 days.” And yes that’s possible. It’s not a lie. I’ve done 2-minute commercial films in 24 hours myself. That works.
BUT it’s a completely different game when you’re making films as spec ads vs. working with an agency and real clients. The process becomes slower, more precise, and involves a lot more people. And honestly that’s the hard part. We create storyboards, charactersheets.
