Meet NIA Lash Studio , a one-chair lash studio in Kilimani, Nairobi.
Nia gets most of her bookings through Instagram and WhatsApp, so answering availability questions, collecting deposits, confirming appointments, sending reminders, and handling reschedules can quickly become a second job.
I wanted to change the experience from:
“Can I book?” → “You’re booked.”
But I also didn't want booking to feel like filling out a form.
I wanted it to feel more like window shopping for your next lash set. You browsing different looks, see the actual result, choosing what you love, checking availability, and booking.
Before building, I spent time looking at website and digital design work across Behance, Awwwards and Godly, as well as existing lash studio websites, not to copy their designs but to understand how beauty brands create desire and where the booking experience starts to break down.
That research helped me identify the gap I wanted NIA to solve: the space between seeing a lash look you want and actually getting yourself booked with as little back and forth between Nia and her clients. Just like the word 'Nia' means Intent in swahili, i wanted ensure i was being super intentional with the website and every part of the experience.
So I built:
→ Visual lash-style browsing
→ Real-time availability
→ KSh500 deposit
→ Instant confirmation
→ 24h + 2h reminders
→ A booking concierge for clients who don't know the style name
→ My Appointments + Book Again for returning clients
→ Self-service rescheduling + cancellation
→ A private studio dashboard for Nia
→ Automated follow-through that reduces the owner's manual work
The goal wasn't to build another booking form.
It was to make booking fun for the client and effortless for the owner.
Finished the Shopify site for BIVERSE, an Australian faithwear brand.
We built the store around its personalised pieces, with a custom verse field on the product page and an editorial design that carries across desktop and mobile.
Resonate Creatives handled the website design and custom Shopify build. A few screens from the finished site below.
Creating a Beautiful Home Décor Shopping Experience with Shopify
Recently, I worked on a home décor website project focused on combining elegant design with a seamless shopping experience.
✨ Key highlights:
🛋️ Clean, inviting layouts to showcase furniture, lighting, and accessories
📸 High-quality product imagery for better product discovery
🔍 SEO optimization to improve search visibility
🛒 A streamlined checkout with multiple payment options
📱 Social media and email marketing integration to drive traffic
My goal was to create an online store that not only looks beautiful but also makes shopping simple and enjoyable.
Every project is an opportunity to build better e-commerce experiences that help brands grow. 🚀

A side-by-side design comparison exploring two approaches to an online eyewear store.
The WaxyWeb redesign focuses on the relationship between product presentation, collection browsing, editorial imagery, and the store’s visual identity.
Design considerations:
Eyewear product presentation
Ecommerce layout and hierarchy
Collection and product discovery
Fashion-focused visual direction
Consistent online shopping experience
For fashion, eyewear, and lifestyle brands, the goal is to create a store that presents products clearly while giving the brand a recognisable visual presence.
