Woaah! Finally I've found the time to post this project and share it everywhere, we have been building out this 𝟲𝟬𝟬+ 𝗽𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝘄𝗲𝗯𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗲 for the past few months and its a BANGER! 🛩️

It's been so good to be working with this company and recently we've established a longer, retainer form collaboration working and continuing building the digital presence of BLAK! 🌍

PostBox 📮 Bringing back the joy of waiting for mail 💌

A digital mailbox designed for wonder, anticipation, and connection 📬

As a kid, I waited all day to come back home to check our mail box. Waiting for surprises from family and friends.

PostBox is a playful digital mailbox that brings back the excitement of waiting for real mail! Instead of instant messages, users send colorful postcards that arrive after a random delay, turning communication into a memorable experience. Designed with a childlike, joyful aesthetic inspired by paper letters, stamps, and illustrated postcards. PostBox creates anticipation, surprise, and emotional connection in a world of instant notifications. The goal is to transform everyday messaging into meaningful moments people remember.

We are all, need sometimes to get back to basic, old time memories.

The Creation Process 🧠

1. The Idea 💡

While traveling around the world, I found myself exhausted by endless instant messages and emotional texting. I started missing the old feeling of anticipation — the excitement of waiting for a letter or postcard to arrive.

2. Sketching the Concept 📜

I grabbed a blank sheet of paper and sketched my vision: a playful digital mailbox that would bring back the joy of waiting and discovering messages.

3. Building the Foundation 📨

Using Figma Make and a carefully crafted prompt, I generated the initial version of the product and established the core user experience.

4. Refining the Experience 🧸

I iterated on the design based on my original sketches, focusing on a simple, childlike, and memorable aesthetic. Every detail was designed to evoke nostalgia, curiosity, and emotional connection.

5. Bringing It to Life ✏️

All animations and visual assets were created using Figma Weave. I combined generated images and motion elements to create a magical and engaging experience.

6. Share the Joy 🤩

Finally, I shared the project with the Figma community and friends to gather feedback and spread the experience of meaningful, anticipation-driven communication.

The random delay mechanic is such a clever design choice. It's what actually recreates the physical mail experience instead of just mimicking the aesthetics. The illustrated world you built around it really sells the whole feeling.
