Vision — A Cinematic Study in Creative Perception
This piece is part of a personal series exploring the creative process from an editor's perspective — this episode focused on vision: the ability to look at an ordinary space and see the story hidden inside it before a single frame is shot.
Every angle, every macro detail, and every reveal in this video was built around one idea — that great visual storytelling starts with seeing possibility where others just see a room, a product, or a property. The same eye I use here to find meaning in a blank canvas is the eye I bring to client work: finding the story inside a restaurant, a villa, or a brand before the camera even rolls.

Building a high end brand used to require an entire agency, a massive budget, and weeks of studio time. In seven days, I used Envato as my end to end toolkit to build Fronno Pizza from absolute scratch. Developing the complete visual identity, packaging mockups, interior branding, and a broadcast-ready commercial. But raw generation is just noise until a human steps in to direct it.
My primary "Human by Design" moment happened when AI broke down on narrative logic. When generating the commercial, the AI repeatedly rendered the gorillas standing upright in a neat queue, politely waiting for a table. Left to itself, AI gives you a literal, lifeless output. It took human instinct to recognize that a gorilla standing in line isn't just absurd, it's boring. I rejected the raw outputs, constructed character sheets to force visual consistency, established strict edit rules for the cuts, and built the chaotic story energy the campaign actually needed.
The technical execution required the same refusal to compromise. Prompting the Fronno logo as a single unit caused the generated cheese pull to swallow the text every single time. Instead of settling for a flawed output, I used Envato fonts for the base typography, generated the cheese pull element separately, and composited the final vector artwork cleanly inside Adobe Illustrator.
Across the project, I pulled from almost every layer of the Envato ecosystem: stock photos for the 20-pass mascot illustration, Envato Gen AI for texture and scene generation, Envato fonts for the brand design, mockup tools for the physical box, and Envato sound effects to drive the commercial's pacing. AI gave me the speed, but taste, technical intervention, and stubborn direction built the brand.

For the @Envato challenge, I’m excited to present my personal project: Plinky's Planet.
Designed for curious early learners, Plinky’s Planet is a vibrant animated space adventure. Through playful storytelling and colorful exploration, the series teaches toddlers about the planets, stars, and the beautiful cosmos we call home.
While AI and asset libraries are incredible for scaling production, human taste is what actually builds a world. Here is exactly how I put this together.
🧠 The "Human by Design" Moment
AI generated the raw pieces, but it took human editorial decisions to forge them into a cohesive narrative. The critical moment of human judgment really came down to post-production. The AI handed me raw video and audio, but out of the box, the pacing felt emotionally empty. I had to drop into Adobe Premiere Pro, override the AI's timing, and manually cut the footage to the beat using Envato transitions to force a cinematic rhythm that an algorithm just can't feel.
🛠️ The Envato Toolkit Workflow
Envato was the backbone for this entire IP, driving four distinct phases of the pipeline:
Pre-Production: I authored the foundational scripts to bring the characters to life, and engineered the necessary image and video prompts to facilitate a seamless production pipeline.
Production: Envato’s library served as my visual engine for mother frames and thumbnails. I was able to completely bypass heavy Photoshop masking by using Envato’s built-in background removal and AI upscaler to achieve commercial-grade graphics. From there, I fed motion prompts into the Envato Video Generator.
Post-Production: I used Envato AI SFX to generate toddler-friendly sound design, which I then mixed in Audition. To finalize the visual edit, I brought Envato transitions and karaoke lyric templates into Premiere Pro.
Launch: The final IP is now live across YouTube, Spotify (via DistroKid), and Plinky's Planet official website.
