Designed and developed an AI-powered Telegram chatbot that automates appointment booking for dental clinics. The bot allows patients to schedule appointments, check available time slots, view clinic information, and receive instant confirmations through Telegram.
The system integrates with Google Sheets to automatically store patient details, appointment schedules, and booking records in real time. By automating the booking process, the solution reduces administrative workload, minimizes scheduling errors, and provides patients with 24/7 self-service appointment booking.
Nice build. Two things that bite most booking bots in production: timezones and stale slots. If the bot stamps "now" in server time, patients can end up booking outside clinic hours — store slots in the clinic's timezone and validate the pick is within business hours and in the...
Great points, Andreas! 👏 Timezone handling and race conditions around slot availability are definitely the kind of edge cases that can cause problems in production. I especially like your point about reserving the slot at selection time rather than relying on a separate availability check. Appreciate the detailed insight!
