We built this memory game with @Rive specifically for the youngest players🐼
The goal was to design something intuitive, soft, and non-overstimulating. No time pressure, just calm cause and effect.
Each animal reacts gently to success and failure. They follow the mouse and communicate entirely through motion. The scoring system is fully visual, using a growing progress bar instead of points, designed for pre-readers.
The board is randomized using data binding and scripting, creating dynamic card positions while keeping the interaction clear and consistent. A small game, made with care♥️

I built a Tetris engine inside Rive. Here's what's under the hood.
3,000+ lines of Lua. Zero game framework. Just Rive's state machine, data binding, and scripting.
What's running:
🟦 All 7 tetrominoes with proper SRS rotation and wall kicks
🎲 7-bag randomizer — guaranteed piece distribution
👻 Ghost piece, lock delay, soft drop, hard drop

Spent the morning refining the collision detection for my entry. It’s amazing how much 10 pixels of space can change the entire feel of a level! Still a lot of work to do, but the core loop is officially alive.
