I couldnāt help but wonderā¦ can AI help animate a logo?
When LangChain slid into my inbox asking for a logo animation and they needed it ASAP, I found myself facing a familiar dilemma. A tight deadline. A bird to animate. And not nearly enough time to overthink it.
So I invited AI into the process.
Dived into a couple of AI video generators. I generated, discarded, regeneratedā¦ until one version finally clicked.
Then came the real work. In After Effects, I tinted it, reshaped it, adjusted the timing, and composited it into the full animation until it felt cohesive and very much on brand.
In the end, only about 15% of the final animation came from AI. But that 15%? It saved both me and the client valuable time when it mattered most.
So I couldnāt help but wonderā¦ if creativity is still the heart, maybe AI is just the wings. š¦

This was a case study I developed for my students during my AI image course at Helsinki Summer University.
Together we explored how an editorial visual language can continue consistently from image to image and further into moving image within AI-based visual production. The focus was not the technology itself, but authorship ā how AI can be used consciously as part of a creative process.
For me, AI is not about generating images, but about how visual worlds are directed, shaped and continued by the maker.
