We designed a premium visual identity for Genesis Hospitality Partners 🏢 — a real estate investment brand focused on creating trust, sophistication, and long-term value perception from the very first interaction.
The challenge was to develop a brand system that feels timeless and refined while standing confidently within the highly competitive real estate and hospitality investment space. CLASP — The Connector
"Every great idea starts with a connection."
CLASP is an original mascot and complete brand identity system inspired by one of the world's simplest yet most meaningful objects—the zipper.
Instead of creating another animal, robot, or fantasy creature, I challenged myself to transform an everyday object into a memorable character with personality, emotion, and purpose. The zipper is something millions of people use every day without thinking about it, yet its entire purpose is to connect separate pieces into one. That universal idea became the foundation of CLASP.
CLASP represents connection, creativity, collaboration, protection, and possibility. Every time the zipper closes, two separate pieces become one—just as great ideas, people, and communities come together to create something bigger than themselves.
The Idea
I wanted to prove that a simple industrial object could become an emotionally engaging mascot without losing its identity.
The character is not holding a zipper.
The character is the zipper.
Its entire body is a living zipper pull with a clean comma-shaped silhouette that is instantly recognizable from any angle. Every design choice supports both storytelling and usability across branding, animation, merchandise, and digital products.
Design Language
Every element has meaning.
Brass ring → Opportunity, beginnings, and connection.
Brass zipper teeth → Precision, engineering, and unity.
Coral-red body → Energy, creativity, warmth, and friendliness.
Deep teal accents → Trust, stability, and balance.
Pixar-inspired proportions → Expressive, approachable, and memorable.
The result is a mascot that feels modern, timeless, and emotionally expressive while remaining simple enough to work at every size.

Creative Process
This project required balancing storytelling with production-ready design.
The biggest challenge was making an everyday object feel alive while preserving its recognizable identity. Every revision focused on silhouette readability, facial expression, emotional appeal, material consistency, and brand scalability.
The final result is a mascot system designed not only to look appealing but also to function as a long-term brand asset.
