I know that I'm in the minority here being against the use of generative AI and avoiding it wherever possible because it is fundamentally at odds with my ethics. I'm curious if there's anyone else here who is navigating working in tech and being anti AI?

Have you put together an AI policy or clause for contracts to protect your copyright and make sure that clients don't run your creative work through LLMs?

Most AI freelancers are building things that won't sell, and the gurus aren't telling them why.

The truth is simple. For a client to pay you $3,000 for an AI agent, that agent needs to make or save them at least $4,000 to $6,000 in return. That's the only math that makes sense for a business owner.

AI increases profit in two ways, it either brings in more revenue or it cuts operational costs. If your automation doesn't do one of those two things clearly and specifically, no serious business will buy it.

Stop building cool. Start building valuable.

Looking back at it now, it feels like a total failure—but I still appreciate that early effort and the drive to keep learning.

With the rapid rise of AI, it sometimes feels like those years spent mastering the basics were almost in vain; no one could have predicted how advanced AI would become in this field. However, I don't see it as a setback. I'm not stopping, and I'll keep pushing boundaries and learning every single day.
