The Long Run is a film pitch trailer built entirely with generative AI, created to help a client sell a feature film to potential backers and collaborators.
The core challenge was consistency: the story's hero truck needed to look and read identically across dozens of AI-generated shots, a problem that breaks most AI video pipelines.
Rather than jumping straight into generation, I treated the trailer like a short film: adapting the trailer script from the feature screenplay, designing consistent characters, and building out full storyboards before touching video generation tools like Higgsfield.
That upfront process locked the visual language early, kept the truck consistent shot to shot, and meant far fewer wasted generations. The client was thrilled with the final trailer; proof that a filmmaker's process, not just the AI tool, is what makes AI-generated work actually hold together.
