A lot of the craft is in knowing exactly how the system behaves, not just making things look good.
The moment the whole file starts, every screen's logic is already active, even the ones the user hasn't reached yet.
Built a 5-screen onboarding flow for a fitness app concept. The final screen had a celebration moment, a progress ring filling, a number counting up, a small particle burst meant to greet the user the instant they finished setup.
Because that screen's logic was already running in the background, the celebration fired the moment the file loaded.
The fix was architectural: instead of letting the screen react the instant the file starts, I built it to wait, and had the screen before it explicitly signal "you're up" the moment the user actually arrives. Small structural change, but it's the difference between a flow that feels intentional and one that's quietly playing itself regardless of what the user's doing.
