🏓 King Pong VII – Playable Ping Pong Poster
Back in 2018, Rethink Ideas wanted an interactive website to get employees excited for the annual King Pong tournament. I helped create a web-based interactive poster that turned your phone into a ping pong paddle — built with Three.js.
By visiting the site, players could swing their phone like a real paddle to bounce a virtual ball, complete with motion detection and real-time physics.
It was a playful way to bring tech and culture together, transforming an event poster into a mini-game that people couldn’t stop showing off. I also textured the ping pong ball in Substance Painter for the design team to use across other campaign visuals.
It was an amazing tournament, even though I was terrible at ping pong! 😝
