Something frustrating I've noticed on Contra: jobs get posted, you spend time crafting the perfect proposal, and by the time you hit send the position is already closed.
It's becoming a real pattern. Clients post a job, don't update the status, and freelancers are left in the dark, investing time and energy into applications that were dead on arrival.
A few things that would help:
Auto-close or flag jobs after a set period of inactivity
Show "actively reviewing" vs "filled" status on listings
Notify applicants when a job closes
Contra has a great community and platform. Fixing job status transparency would make it so much better for freelancers. Has anyone else run into this?

Is this contractor in control of their jobs and cash flow?
You’re a GC with 9 active projects, 4.8M total contract value.
