Book Bud is an AI-powered study assistant I built to help students learn directly from their PDFs. It lets users upload any textbook, and the backend processes it by extracting text, creating chunks, and generating vector embeddings. Using the Gemini API, the app provides a ChatGPT-style tutor that answers questions with proper citations from the PDF. It can automatically generate quizzes—MCQs, SAQs, and LAQs—with explanations and grading. I also built features like a PDF manager, YouTube learning recommendations, quiz history, and a progress dashboard that tracks performance over time.
