Creating stories is something I loved doing growing up. As an only child until I was nine, and a very shy one at that, I often had little more than my toys to play and interact with, so I created entire storylines around them. In a way, I learned to talk, imagine, and be adventurous without ever leaving home.
As I grew older, I chose a career built around writing — first as a journalist — because it felt like the closest I could get to telling stories again.
But fiction is different.
Last year, I completed a postgraduate program in Animation and Digital Games. Then I came across this challenge and discovered Cantina.
I knew generative AI had evolved enormously, but I have to admit: I hadn't had this much fun creating a story in a long time. So I genuinely want to thank Cantina and Contra for giving me the push to do it at exactly the right moment, with a tool that made me want to experiment.
I'm very happy to share with this community that The Grand Bellamy is officially submitted to the #CantinaChallenge.

Two conflicting testimonies. One impossible hotel.
Mr. Bellamy says Lenora lost everything because of her own mistake. Lenora says he deceived her and stole the hotel from her.
The pilot ends with one question:
Who’s telling the truth?
I built The Grand Bellamy as a supernatural microdrama about unreliable characters, conflicting versions of the truth, atmosphere, and a cliffhanger that opens the door to future episodes.
