A new backlink does not change your rankings overnight. This is one thing many people get wrong.
Google has to find the link, crawl it, and then decide how much it trusts the page that links to you. For most SaaS sites, this takes 2 to 8 weeks. Sometimes longer if the linking site is new or rarely crawled.
One common mistake: paying for a link, checking rankings after 5 days, and calling it a failure. Give each link time. Track your keyword position once a week and compare month to month, not day to day.
A good link needs patience. A fast judgment only creates doubt.
