I built a full Lo-Fi + Mid-Fi design system using Claude + MCP connected directly to Figma.
The setup required creating a Figma token, modifying the JSON config, and connecting MCP through the Claude desktop app. Once it worked, this is what got built through prompts — guided by my design decisions:
66 variables · 8 text styles · 24 pages Primitives, composites, pre-built screens, mobile flows, wireframes, forms, dashboards, data tables, onboarding wizard, full landing page — and a Figma plugin generated in the process.
The interesting part wasn't the speed. It was realizing that the real design work — knowing what to build, why, and how it fits together — is exactly what AI can't replace.
This is what happens when you give a designer access to the right tools.
