Figuring out what AI can actually do for enrollment
Enrollment asked me and two others to explore AI. The question we're trying to answer: can we increase enrollment numbers?
Specifically, can we see which demographics will choose Catholic over the other universities we're competing with across the US, and which demographics we should push our ads to? If we know who's most likely to actually enroll, we stop guessing with our outreach.
This isn't AI for the sake of AI. It's so our staff has more time to do other things instead of repetitive work. More time back, more students in, more revenue. Grow the university.
It's research stage, and I'm not going to dress it up as more than that. But the question is the right one, and it's the same question I ask about every system I build: how does this bring in more of the right people.
