Today I finally finished something I've been wanting to build for a long time my own portfolio landing page.
As a designer, I spend most of my time helping other businesses create memorable brands. Ironically, my own portfolio had been sitting on the "I'll finish it later" list.
This time, I challenged myself to design a portfolio that reflects how I actually work: clean, strategic, and focused on results rather than decoration.
Every section was designed with intention from the typography and spacing to the project presentation and user flow. I wanted visitors to understand not only what I design, but how I think as a designer.
Building your own brand is always harder than building someone else's. You're your own toughest client.

B for me. Client work sharpens execution but personal projects are where you actually find your voice. The Pixtap concept has a distinctly different energy than most portfolio work precisely because there's no brief constraining it.
Just pushed a major redesign to my portfolio site!

Spiritual Wellness Carousel Design for a Yoga School in Kisumu
For this project, I designed a complete Instagram carousel series for a wellness-focused yoga school in Kisumu, transforming spiritual and yogic concepts into visually engaging, educational, and shareable content. The carousel explored the relationship between the Sun and Moon energies (Surya and Chandra), using symbolism, typography, imagery, and visual storytelling to simplify complex spiritual teachings for a modern audience.
Using Canva, I developed a cohesive visual identity that balanced elegance, readability, and engagement. I combined AI-assisted imagery, carefully selected color palettes, typography, and layout design to create a premium wellness aesthetic aligned with the brand's audience.
