Earth Observation (EO) Image Acquisition Planner App for satellite/payload operators while working in a newspace startup.

I designed and developed a multi-satellite imagery acquisition planner app, securing €10.5M in funding from the France 2030 “Umbrella” project and driving a 48% ARR increase to the company.

The image acquisition planner app is an "extended" version of the mission planning system app (MPS), tailored for Earth Observation (EO) satellite/payload operators, who needs to satisfy as many imaging requests as possible as their main goal. The IMAQ app leverages Leanspace services for operators by having adjustable plans that are easy to work with and allows them to optimize the payload usage. Without such application, the operators have to deal with manual plans that require a lot of effort and verifications to manage imaging activities with other actions such as station keeping, flight software updates, and multi-band downlinks to name a few. The ground/base MPS app that I also designed and developed prior to this, addressed critical customer challenges, resulting in a €5M, 5-year contract, strategically positioning the company for U.S. market expansion.
