Thanks! About 12 weeks for the 10+ plugins, from UI to dev handoff. The custom tooling saved us a good chunk of that.
Skipping After Effects for custom tooling is a bold call on a project this size. What pushed you toward that, speed, control, or something After Effects just couldn't do for cloud plugin UI?
Mostly control. After Effects gives you a render, and a render isn't something a dev can ship. With our own tools the effects came out optimized and ready for dev on the first handoff. And a few effects that were out of reach became possible.
