Exploring halftones: when dots become part of the visual language.
I’ve been thinking more about how simple elements like dots, grain, and texture can do more than just make an illustration look interesting.
Halftones can create depth, separate foreground from background, emphasize a focal point, or give an otherwise clean digital piece a more tactile, printed feel.
What interests me most is the idea of using texture with intention.
Not filling every empty space with dots, but asking:
Where should the eye go?
What should feel closer or further away?
Where can texture add atmosphere?
I’m still exploring this approach, but it’s something I want to experiment with more in my character illustrations and visual storytelling.
Sometimes improving as an artist is simply learning to see familiar tools differently.

Almost two years ago, I started shaping the visual identity of my own studio.
Time flies. Couldn't be happier with what we've built so far, and what's next!
The eye motif carrying through every project instead of just the logo is what makes the studio's own identity actually recognizable, most agencies never bother applying their brand to themselves that consistently.
