πŸ€– The future of software development is not about writing more code.
It is about building systems that can think, retrieve information, use tools and execute tasks.
That is where AI Engineering becomes interesting.
I’m currently focused on building AI applications that combine:
🧠 LLMs πŸ”Ž RAG & semantic search πŸ€– AI Agents πŸ”— MCP & tool calling ☁️ Azure / GCP / cloud AI ⚑ Python & modern AI frameworks πŸ“Š Evaluation, observability & optimization
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned:
A good AI application is not just a prompt connected to an LLM.
The real engineering challenge is everything around it:
β†’ how the system retrieves the right context β†’ how agents decide which tools to use β†’ how hallucinations are detected β†’ how responses are evaluated β†’ how costs and latency are controlled β†’ how the whole system behaves in production
This is where AI Engineering meets traditional software engineering.
And honestly, that's the part I enjoy the most.
Building AI that doesn't just look impressive in a demo, but actually works in production. πŸš€
What part of AI Engineering do you think will become the most important over the next 2–3 years?
