Most booking software forces local businesses to completely change how they operate.
For the #lovablechallenge, I decided to build a system that adapts to the shop's actual reality instead.
Meet Headquarters (HQ)—a high-demand, solo barbershop right here in Coimbra. 💈
João, the owner, works entirely alone. He loves his walk-in culture, but mid-haircut phone calls destroy his focus, and 5:30 PM rushes mean walk-ins see a full bench and immediately leave.
He needed automation, but he absolutely refused to manage a bloated CRM or force his clients to create passwords.
Operating as an independent developer, I wanted to build him an invisible, 24/7 receptionist using Lovable, Supabase, and the BulkGate API.
Here is how we fixed the front door and the follow-through:
⚡ The Phone-Passport: Zero friction. Clients book in 10 seconds with just a name and phone number. Supabase tracks the number to calculate a gamified reputation score—rewarding loyal clients with VIP access and automatically locking out repeat no-shows.
📉 Dynamic Demand Smoothing: A custom pricing engine automatically applies a 10% discount for advance bookings and 20% for quiet morning slots, naturally pushing flexible clients out of the rush hour.
🎛️ Counter-Mode Dashboard: João doesn't manage software. When a walk-in sits down, he taps one massive button to block the calendar. Background cron jobs auto-complete finished cuts, assign reputation points, and trigger SMS review rewards automatically.

Six website templates I'd happily hand to a client. Each one comes as plain HTML (unzip, open, online) and as React. None of them make third-party requests, they're accessible by default, and the docs are written for AI tools.
It's also like my portfolio in a way.
Building zero-request clean templates with AI-ready docs is absolute developer witchcraft.
