Fiverr Thumbnail Design — Visual Direction Exploration
Overview
Designed two visual directions for a Fiverr thumbnail, exploring different approaches to composition, typography, imagery, and visual hierarchy.
Direction 01: Centered Impact: A bold, center-focused layout that places the main message at the visual focal point for immediate readability and impact.
Direction 02: Dynamic Balance: A more dynamic composition using side-positioned typography with supporting imagery to create visual movement and stronger balance.
Both variations were created from the same core concept to explore how different layouts can influence attention, readability, and overall engagement.

Centred, for me - the side-positioned type gives the imagery more room, but at gig-card width that room reads as empty rather than dynamic. The Vision Pro and Meta Quest badges are the other thing I'd check: crisp at full size, mush in the grid, so they can't do the balancing work the layout is asking of them.
Thanks for the thoughtful feedback. I agree with your point about the side-positioned version at full size, the additional breathing room helps the imagery, but once it’s reduced to gig-card scale, that space loses its purpose and starts reading more like dead space.

centered for me
the white headset against the purple background gives the centered version a much stronger focal point and makes it read more clearly at thumbnail size. I’d also pick the center direction for the same reason.

Three weeks into building the Pasted website, after the design was approved, an 11-page document arrived with a whole new vision.
It was beautiful work, and it described a different project at the agreed price.
I asked them to decide: keep the approved scope, or pause and price the new idea separately. On day six, they chose the original. We shipped two weeks later.
Offering to price the new vision as its own phase also lets the client see what the idea costs without it feeling like a no. Was a change-order process already written into your contract, or did you build that path on the spot?
AI video is not about pressing generate.
It’s about controlling the direction before anything moves.
This short beauty concept was built from:

• 8 reference frames
• basic editing and polish in Photoshop and After Effects
The interesting part for me is not that AI can make a video.
It’s that you can start directing it with a clear visual system:
• same color language,
• same model mood,
• same product world,
• same campaign feeling across stills and motion.
That’s where AI gets useful for brands.
Not as a random generator, but as a way to prototype campaign ideas faster, test visual directions earlier and turn static concepts into motion without a full production setup.
