SmartWear - Smart Authentication System Using Wearable Devices

Project Description: SmartWear is an innovative system aimed at enhancing user security through the use of wearable technologies, such as smartwatches. The project leverages built-in sensors on devices like Apple Watch and Fitbit to collect unique user data—including heart rate, motion patterns, and vibrations—to authenticate identity in a secure and effective manner.

Key Features: Sensor Data Collection: The system collects real-time biometric data from users, including acceleration, gyroscope measurements, heart rate, and temperature using smartwatches. AI-Based Authentication: Utilizes machine learning algorithms to classify users based on their unique biometric patterns, enabling passwordless access. Custom Profiles: Creates individual user profiles based on collected data to ensure high authentication accuracy for each user. Seamless Integration: Connects wearable devices with databases and AI models to ensure real-time data transmission and processing. Security Analysis: Implements strong cybersecurity principles using frameworks like NIST to ensure user data protection and system operational integrity.

System Components: Wearable Devices: Utilizes built-in sensors in smartwatches such as accelerometers, gyroscopes, and PPG sensors. AI Model: Development and training of machine learning models to classify users based on sensor-extracted data. Data Processing: Includes data cleaning and feature extraction stages to optimize model performance. Hardware & Software Integration: Employs ESP32 boards, connects the system to a Firebase database, and utilizes the Arduino IDE platform.
