Project update: a safer way to move cards to "Paid" in a CRM
For a financial advisory firm, I built a feature in GoHighLevel that makes paying referral partners faster and harder to get wrong.
What it does: when a card is dragged to Paid, the system finds every other card due for the same partner and shows a checklist. The assistant ticks the cards to pay together and confirms once. With a single card, it asks a simple confirmation instead.
How I made it reliable: a small backend on Vercel re-checks every card before moving it (same partner, still due, only into Paid). A failed card is named in a message while the others still move. If the list can't be loaded, the plain question is asked, so nothing moves silently.
What I did: designed the flow, wrote the browser script and the backend, and tested the cases that go wrong, not only the happy path.

The proof follows the same rule. One freelancer, one number — 4% lost on every international payment. A percentage someone can check against their own account beats any adjective.

Claude wrote every line of the code. I spent those two hours on the part clients actually pay for: looking at each version and saying what's off
17 commits, each one deployed. My notes went in as screenshots with red circles:
→ make the button edges look like ticket cutouts
→ replay the story chips every time you scroll past them
→ spacing 156, then 92, then back to 156
What made it fast was one Figma frame called "Ready for Dev". Every size, color and gap came from there, so nobody had to guess what the mockup meant
For a founder this means a real link on day one, and a fix you ask for at lunch is live by the afternoon
